Rosa Parks

During the 1900's, black americans suffered much discrimination in United States. Segregation of blacks and whites were common in restaurants, churches, public schools as well as public transportation.
On buses the first row roses seats were reserved for only white people and black people were suposed to give up their seats for the white passengers.
In alabama on the december first, 1955, a women, by the name rosa parks, was told to give up her seat on a bus for a white male who were just go on. She refused. Latter, she said: "people always say that i didn't give up my seat because i was tired but that isn't true. I was not tired physically, or not more tired that i usually was at the end of a working day, No. The only tired i was, was tired of giving in".
Parks was arrested and fined for breaking a law. However this event leaded to a massive boicot at the public buses. For over 300 days, no black americans took the buses, causing huge financial problems with the transportation and does leading to the end of the law requiring segregation on buses.
Throught a small, but brave, act Rosa Parks helped to bring a problem of racial discrimination to the forefront of social issues.
Although it took many more years to get free of segregation and racial discrimination, Rosa Parks was one of the most influential and revolutionary leaders of her time.

Espero que ajude a todos
abraços e fuuuuuiiiiii.
